PRXMTY

Animistic Beliefs, founded by XAKALELE and rbf.linh, began from a mutual love of techno, electro, and gabber, eventually growing to centre the forgotten sounds of South-East Asia, with poetic elements and tribal rhythms which reflect their Moluccan and Vietnamese-Chinese heritage. From the broody and melancholy to the intense and energetic, the duo have created a new sonic language which honours their roots, while embracing sounds across global club music and IDM with a decidedly punk spirit.
On January 11th, Animistic Beliefs will bring their fast-paced live set to PRXMTY, providing a deeply personal yet political performance that will give dancers a brief glimpse into their sonic world - alongside DJ sets from Nastya Vogan, Salome, Yazzus and more.
